About
Darrin is the Director of University Theatre and an Associate Professor of Theatre Arts: Costume Design at Boise State University. Holding an MFA in costume design and technology from the University of Florida in Gainesville and a BFA in musical theatre performance from Rockford University in Illinois, He has worked for many notable companies across the United States including: The Idaho Shakespeare Festival. Boise Contemporary Theater, Artist Repertory Theatre (Portland, Oregon), Broadway Rose Theatre Company, (Tigard OR) Mock’s Crest Productions through the University of Portland and The Forestburgh Playhouse (Forestburgh, New York) additionally Darrin’s work has been part of touring productions to Brazil and Russia. Darrin’s design work has been recognized with a Portland Drammy Award for A Little Night Music (2009), in addition to two Portland Area Musical Theatre Awards for his designs of The Pirates of Penzance (2008) and A Little Night Music (2009) and Into the Woods (2020). In addition to his interests all aspects of costume design and technology, Darrin works closely with American orders of Catholic Sisters and Nuns to preserve and document the specifics of religious habits and garments.
